So lately I've been thinking about the color scheme for our living and dining room. I've been collecting things here and there, but I keep going a back to my inspiration of jewel tones. For some reason or another, I'm really diggin aquas, greens, and purples - something that I've never been into before.( Side note, I believe that purple is long overdue for a comeback). Here are some inspirational images that get me in the mood.

Who doesn't love a good peacock color story? These jewel tones are really amazing! Hopefully I'll start shopping and sharing with you soon. Before I go, here are some of the pillows that I bought at Target almost a year ago. I can't wait to start putting everything together!

Stay tuned :)

I'm changing out the boring builder's grade brass light fixtures in our apartment for something with more glam!
P.S. Maskros (the new, smaller version)  for the dining room

Kristaller for the bedroom

Knappa for the sun room
Lock (times two) for the living room (so as not to compete with my Regolit floor lamp)

Total: $139.95 - a lot of light for a little money!
Don't worry, you'll definitely get a sneak peek once they're installed! :)
So for our wedding my mommy gifted Brandon and me one of the lovely Dwell Studio comforters that I've been coveting. Yellow is definitely a departure for me. I am known for living drenched in color, but since my college days are over and I now have a loving hubby, I wanted to dream up a room that was lovely, relaxing, glamorous, and grown-up. Here's how I plan to trick it out!

Clockwise from the left:

1.  Target sunburst mirror
2.  Hopen 6-drawer dresser
3.  CB2 Whirly Hanging candle holders
4.  Z-Gallery Jett bed (which we absolutely love sleeping in!)
5.  Kristaller chandelier
6.  Skirma shades and Januari lamp base
7.  Target glass accent table (times two)
8.  Mongstad floor mirror
9.  Target Clyborn Loft arm chair in houndstooth
10.Target Tripod floor lamp with drum shade
11. Hopen 8-drawer dresser
12. Target Peony pillow
13. Boscov's burlap drapery panels
14. Gislev rug
15. Dwell Studio Andalusia comforter set

We already have most of the main furniture pieces. I can't wait to make it into our little sanctuary!!!!
So as some of you might know, I jumped the broom almost two weeks ago! I feel so blessed to be married to my best friend! It was so memorable, quirky, unbelievable, and joyful - I cried more happy tears than I ever have in my entire life. Whoo! A very amazingly-talented young woman by the name of Brianna Goodwin (of Brianna Renee Goodwin Photography) captured our big day and more than exceeded my greatest expectations! Allow me to share them with you. These are entitled "Cook Peek".

I can't wait to see more! Stay tuned!!!
